The Faculty of Design, Sapporo City University has set up a new coronavirus-response campus life creation month (June 29 – July 31) so that students can safely spend time on campus for face-to-face classes, which have partially resumed in the latter half of the first semester. Japan-China Design Symposium and Asia Design Symposium Report

On November 29, 2020, Japan-China Design Symposium was held at the Design Common, a learning support facility on Kyushu University’s Ohashi Campus in Fukuoka. It was initially scheduled in February of the same year but was postponed due to the coronavirus outbreak. The symposium was held online with five Chinese universities and three Japanese universities participated. The plenary session was held with simultaneous interpretation provided in Japanese, Chinese, and English.The theme of the first part was “The Current Status of Design Universities in Japan and China and the Potential and Effects of International Exchange”. Inter-Faculty Educational Collaboration: A New Framework for Design

Sapporo City University is a new university in Japan that opened in 2006. It is characterized by a unique initiative in which only two faculties, the Faculty of Design and the Faculty of Nursing, and the undergraduate education of the faculties are linked.
